Growing in Reach, Impact, and Mission
The Hartland Wellness Center is entering an exciting new season of growth. During the third quarter of 2026, the Wellness Center reached its highest guest census and received its highest level of guest reviews. We believe this growth comes from the blessing of God in response to staff fasting and prayer and reveals the growing need for Christ-centered health ministry.
Our outreach is extending beyond the Hartland campus. In recent months, the Wellness Center team conducted multi-day health education and wellness programs in Waldorf, Maryland; Stafford, Virginia; and Bryans Road, Maryland. These programs provided practical health instruction while creating meaningful witnessing opportunities with individuals and families who may never have otherwise visited Hartland.
In July, the Wellness Center sponsored the 2026 Summer Health Summit on the Hartland College campus. Along with Wellness Center staff, Dr. David DeRose and Dr. John Kelly presented lifestyle medicine principles to both in-person and online audiences. Mr. Larry Stirn shared a powerful testimony of cancer remission following treatment at the Hartland Wellness Center. His testimony was a vivid reminder that behind every guest we serve is a person, a family, and an opportunity for transformation.
We are also expanding the services available to our guests. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Jasseth Taylor-Palmer will join the Wellness Center staff, creating new opportunities to address mental and emotional well-being. This expansion strengthens our commitment to caring for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.
We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our ministry supporters. Dr. Greg Perry donated a Deep Infrared Sauna that has already been a tremendous blessing to our guests. Its impact has been so appreciated that one guest’s family was inspired to purchase a similar unit for their home—an encouraging example of how one gift can continue blessing lives beyond the Wellness Center.
Our digital outreach is growing. Under the direction of our new Media Manager, Alejandra Restrepo, the Wellness Center has launched a new YouTube channel and experienced increased viewership on Instagram and Facebook. These platforms enable us to share practical health principles, testimonies, and Christ-centered wellness content with audiences far beyond our campus.
Starting September 7, the Wellness Center, in partnership with Adventist Midwives, will launch online training for female health practitioners seeking certification as Christian Childbirth Educators and Doulas, equipping women to provide compassionate, Christ-centered support to mothers and families.
Looking ahead, Dr. Easton Reid will travel to Romania in September for Wellness Center Management Training at the Herghelia Lifestyle Center for valuable insights to strengthen Hartland’s programs and operations.
